ESMS
The ESMS Sixth Form is a co-educational community of students with its own identity and individual approach.
Here, young men and women prepare together for life and university study. They learn to be independent, responsible and self-motivated students - rather than pupils - while fully contributing to the shared community life of our schools. During their final year at school students enjoy a genuine pre-University experience. They are divided into small Tutor Groups with a personal tutor who directs them towards more independent and creative modes of thinking, writing and behaving. Tutors also offer help with UCAS statements, preparing for university interviews and providing references both informally and through our guidance structure.

At Lansdowne College, we pride ourselves on the warm, supportive and structured atmosphere provided by our staff for our students. With our clear guidelines of conduct based on mutual respect between teachers and students, we find many of the rules found in traditional schools are unnecessary. We believe that our students relish and respond to being treated as young adults. They thrive on the mixture of expert teaching, hard work and pastoral care they experience and enjoy. They benefit from an environment that, whilst maintaining academic rigour and discipline, provides a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that builds a strong basis for university study. As a result, students not only rise to their academic challenges but also enjoy them and exceed them. The majority of our students secure places at top universities in the UK.
